Ceara is the 2nd Brazilian state to receive more foreign investments
Only São Paulo receives more foreing investments than Ceara
A survey published by the Employment Ministry of Brazil (MTE) shows that from the total amount of R$ 81,7 million invested in Brazil on the first semester of 2011, R$ 15,57 million corresponds to businesses established in the state of Ceara, where Exact Invest has most of its activities. Sao Paulo, the first state in the ranking, received R$ 25,2 million. The data indicate a positive development of the Northeastern region as a whole; out of the 10 highest placed states in the ranking, half of them are from the Northeast.
The numbers from the MTE also show that Denmark has reached the second place on the number of work permits granted for foreign businesses on the state of Ceara. The Danish authorizations have gained two positions since 2008, when they were the fourth mostly requested. With the status, Denmark has taken the place previously occupied by Portugal. Italy is on the top of the list. In comparison to the first semester of 2010, Ceara has granted 37,7% more business permits for foreigners who started business activities in Brazil.
