Brazilian recession has ended

The recession in Brazil technically ended after two years

After eight quarters with declining GDP the Brazilian GDP increased 1% in the first quarter of 2017 compared to fourth quarter of 2016. This technically ends a two years long recession in Brazilian economy, but the number was impacted very positively by the agricultural sector in the first quarter. The underlying macroeconomic indicators like investments and private consumption were still negative in the first quarter of 2017.
